IJFCS
CALL FOR
SPECIAL ISSUES
IJFCS
(International Journal of Foundations of Computer Science) aims at publishing
high-quality articles that contribute new technical results in all areas
of foundations of computer science. We are witnessing an unprecedented
growth of computer science, with new areas and topics of research being
brought to the forefront on a regular basis.
In
order to provide a timely and broad coverage of this ever-evolving field,
IJFCS offers to its readers a mix of regular and special issues.
We solicit prospective guest editors to
identify topics that require more coverage and exposure and to propose
special issues on those topics. Of a particular relevance would be special
issues on new and interesting applications of theoretical computer science
to various practical domains.
Topics
that are of interest for special issues could include, for example:
- Algebraic
theory of computing and formal systems
- Algorithm and system
implementation issues
- Approximation, probabilistic,
and randomized algorithms
- Automata and formal languages
- Automated deduction
- Combinatorics and graph
theory
- Complexity theory
- Computational biology
and bioinformatics
- Cryptography
- Database theory
- Data structures
- Design and analysis of
algorithms
- DNA computing
- Foundations of computer
security
- Foundations of high-performance
computing
- Logic in computer science
- Model checking and computer-aided
verification
- Models of computation
- Quantum computing
- Semantics, concurrency,
and type theory
- Theories and models of
internet computing
- Theory of learning and
inductive inference
- Theory of parallel and
distributed computing
- Wireless networks and
mobile computing
Please
submit your proposal for a special issue to
the Editor-in-Chief.
