Ph.D. Candidate in Computer Science
Univ. of California, Santa Barbara

Welcome to Lei's Homepage

I am a third-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science at University of California, Santa Barbara. My advisor is Prof. Heather Zheng. Before joining UCSB in 2006, I received my M.E. and B.E. degrees from the Department of Electronic Engineering at Tsinghua University, China, in 2004 and 2006, respectively. My advisors were Prof. Xiuming Shan and Prof. Lin Zhang. I was a Research Assistant in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at The University of Hong Kong for half a year in 2005, supervised by Prof. Victor O.K. Li.

Research

I am with the Laboratory for Intelligent NetworKing (LINK Lab). My research interest includes wireless networks and communications, especially in open spectrum system and cognitive radio area. Here is a list of projects I am/was working on.

  • Efficient and Reliable Dynamic Spectrum Access
  • Spectrum Agile Radio Testbeds
  • Proactive Spectrum Sensing and Access
  • FLOWS: Flexible Low Cost Wireless Sensor Systems
  • Self-localization Algorithms of Wireless Sensor Networks
