How do I get access to the CS wireless network on campus?
UPDATE: 10/16/2007: We are migrating to Campus Wireless. The CS Test wireless network will be decommisioned as new (Campus) access points are added. The first floor of Harold Frank Hall (Eng. 1) has already been converted. For information on access the UCSB wireless network see our faq: Accessing the UCSB Wireless Network
The CS Test network is available to CS department faculty, staff, and graduate students.
Under special circumstances, CS undergraduates doing research for a CS professor may use the network. However, they must have prior approval from a CS professor. At this time, wireless access is for research purposes, not for instructional purposes.
If you meet one of the above criteria, please send your wireless card's MAC address to support@cs.ucsb.edu
*** Note: The CS Test wireless network only covers the first 3 floors of the Engineering 1 building, the CTL, Trailer 936 & 935 and around Phelps 1401. It is due to be replaced with a more robust wireless network in the future.
