Degree and Major Actions
Degree Actions:
For admission and readmission to UCSB: http://www.admissions.ucsb.edu/
To determine what UCSB computer science course is equivalent to a computer science course from another institution (BS or BA):
Go to http://www.assist.org. Choose Explore Transfer Information. Next, choose the institution. Choose the year in which you took/will take the course. Go to Agreements with Other Campuses and select UCSB. Choose Major: Computer Science or Department: Computer Science to find the computer science class lists for the two institutions. If the course has an equivalent at UCSB, print that page, and bring it and a copy of your transcript containing the course to the CS department office. You may petition to get subject credit for the course. If there is no equivalent listed for the class, or if the institution is not included in the list, you will need to bring a full syllabus of the course and a copy of your transcript, as proof of taking the course, to the CS department office for evaluation.
