In the honor of the bowling night, I shall now compose a short ditty.

The other day I met this guy
Who did flitter and hover.
When I asked him why, he says,
"I just bowled a maiden over".

Set me to think, it really did,
Whatever did he mean?
Why was he so excited 
Why was he so keen.

Could it be that he was a
Crazy cricketing lad?
Bowling a maiden over he liked
To asking her to his pad.

Could it be that he was a
Terrible traffic hog?
Adding up his knock-over points
For a maiden, a lamp, two logs.

Could it be that he was a 
A bowler new and green?
And thought the skittles nicely-curved
And quite very feminine.
