This page plots the batting average versus Strikerate of batsmen in IPL 2008. The basic idea is that in Twenty20 cricket, average alone is not sufficient to see the quality of a batsman. Strikerate is also equally important. This graph shows the relative value the different batsmen. An ideal player would have a high average with a high strike-rate; towards the right-top of the graph.

MouseOver each data point to see the names of the players. Use the controls on the right to filter the data. Note: To replot the scatter plot using only the filtered data, click on "Runs" and click on "Average vs StrikeRate" again. (Don't blame me, its a quirk of the visualization API.)
