I am a fourth year Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science at the University of California, Santa Barbara. I work in the Systems, Algorithms, Networking and Data Lab (SAND Lab) co-advised by Prof. Heather Zheng and Prof. Ben Y. Zhao. My research interests are in the areas of wireless and mobile networks, smartphone-based mobile systems, data mining, and social networks.
Prior to coming to UCSB, I received my B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees (both with honors) from the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. I did my Bachelor and Master theses under the guidance of Professor Lazaros Merakos in the Communication Networks Laboratory. During my M.Sc. studies, I was also a member of the Management of Data, Information, and Knowledge Group working on digital library interoperability issues.
