I am a Project Scientist (basically, a research scholar) working in the areas of Databases, Data Mining and Bioinformatics at the
Dept. of Computer Science
at the
University of California, Santa Barbara
. I did my Ph.D. on "Analysis of Neighborhood Relationships in Biomedical Images" under
Prof. Ambuj K. Singh
in the same department in 2007. I also obtained my M.S. degree there. My love with computer science started with my Bachelor studies in Computer Science and Engineering from
Jadavpur University
, Kolkata, India. In between, I also worked in
Texas Instruments (India) Ltd.
at Bangalore for 1 year. I am currently associated with the
Databases and Bioinformatics lab (DBL)
as part of the
Center for Bio-Image Informatics
, UCSB.
