Research Interests and Expertise General interests: I tend to enjoy most challenging problems that involve mathematical modeling, computation and analysis. In particular, I find numerical simulation of multiscale, multiphysics systems that require interdisciplinary knowledge and/or collaborations to be a dynamic and captivating area of research. Specific expertise: Since my undergraduate days, I have been active in research and made contributions in the following areas.
Publications An algorithm for simulation of electrochemical systems with surface-bulk coupling strategies, M. Buoni, L. Petzold, J. Comp. Phys., vol. 229, pp. 379-398 (2010). Effect of Additives on Shape Evolution during Electrodeposition: IV. Superfilling in Small Trenches, M. Willis, M. Buoni, L. Petzold, R. Braatz, R.C. Alkire, submitted to J. Electrochem. Soc. (2009).
