CS595J : Information Processing on Biosensors

Topics

Biosensors are novel sensors which can detect presence of organic molecules in small quantities. Systems of such sensors deployed over a wide area can allow us to monitor the environment for the presence of complex molecules, pathogenic DNA/protein and microorganisms in addition to ordinary environmental parameters such as temperature, pressure and light. We will study algorithms which can evaluate and summarize data generated by such hetergeneous sensor networks.
