ACCOMMODATION

We have blocked rooms in three hotels in Goleta, close to the UCSB campus and the airport. You need to call the hotels and make your own reservations. For each hotel the rates below are guaranteed only if you call by the date listed. To get one of the blocked rooms you need to say that your are calling for CIAA conference organized by CS department at UCSB (for Motel 6 give the name Bultan).

Transportation to Hotels

• We plan to provide shuttle service between the hotels and the campus, once in the morning and once at the end of the day.
• All three hotels are in walking distance from each other. Best Western South Coast Inn and Holiday Inn hotels provide shuttle services. There is no shuttle service for Motel 6. There is a bus stop across the street from Motel 6 where you can take a bus to the campus.
  • Best Western South Coast Inn: There is a shuttle every half hour from 7:30AM to 11:30AM. You need to call for shuttle from 11:30AM to 10:30PM. You can take this shuttle to and from the campus and the airport.
  • Holiday Inn: There is a shuttle to and from the Santa Barbara Airport.
• MTD Bus: Bus #9 leaves from across the street of Motel 6 (Encina and Calle Real) 32 minutes after the hour, beginning at 7:32 AM with the last bus at 5:32 PM. It goes to the bus circle at UCSB near North Hall. It takes approximately 25 minutes. The return is 5 minutes after the hour, beginning at 8:05 AM with the last bus at 6:05 PM.
• Taxi Cab: Taxi fare from the hotels to the UCSB campus is about $10 - $15 -- the price is the same for 1 or more passengers.
