The "hackers" interest group is composed of people who are interested in exploring security problems and developing security solutions.
The group meets regularly to discuss security tools and hacking techniques. In addition, the group participates in both on-line and live hacking competitions.
The group is open to any UCSB student interested in hacking and security.
If wasting a perfectly fine evening on reverse-engineering a binary program so that you can make your format string overwrite a .dtors pointer and gain a root shell is your idea of fun, then you might be the right candidate for this group.
Contact us at [the name of the group]@[the Computer Science domain name].[the name of the UCSB domain].[the educational top domain] (scrape this out spammers!)
The group on Google is called UCSB Hacking Team.
