Department of Computer Science
University of California, Santa Barbara

I'm a PhD candidate in the Department of Computer Science of the University of California at Santa Barbara. I am working in the ArchLab under the supervision of Prof. Fred Chong. Before coming to lovely Santa Barbara, I got my M.Sc. and B.Sc. from Department of Computer and Systems Engineering at Alexandria University, Alexandria, Egypt.

Research Interests

My research focus is in designing energy efficient, reliable computer systems and architectures, in general, and specifically memory systems. My work includes modeling of different RAS (Reliability, availability, serviceability) features of these systems, developing techniques that improve the reliability and energy efficiency in emerging non-volatile memory technologies such as PCM and Memristors.
