Khaled's research interesets generally include: Delay/disruption tolerant networks, Intermittent and disconnected mobile networks, Non end-to-end communication systems, Networking protocols and distributed systems. He is currently working in the Networking and Multimedia Systems Lab (NMSL) with Dr. Kevin Almeroth.
