Welcome

I am a research scientist in the Wireless Communications Lab at Intel Labs, Hillsboro, Oregon. I completed my Ph.D. degree in the Department of Computer Science at University of California, Santa Barbara in 2011. I was with the Intelligent NetworKing Laboratory (LINK Lab), under the supervision of Prof. Heather Zheng. I received both bachelor and master degrees from the Department of Electronic Engineering at Tsinghua University, China in 2004 and 2006, respectively.

Research

My research interests lie in the broad area of wireless networking and systems, with a current focus on mobile systems, ubiquitous location sensing, cognitive radios and dynamic spectrum networks. My current research at Intel Labs is to design and develop precision location sensing algorithms on mobile devices with low power consumption and minimal infrastructure deployment efforts. My Ph.D. thesis work at UCSB was on dynamic spectrum sharing networks, focused on system and algorithm designs to enable reliable, efficient and enforceable dynamic spectrum sharing using cognitive radios (Project Website).
