Abstract: This is a graduate-level course on data mining.  It introduces the principles, algorithms, and applications of basic data mining/machine learning, graph analysis, text mining, and hot topics in data mining.

Each student is expected to do one homework, one midterm, present one paper and lead the discussion after his/her presentation, and complete a research project.

Grading: Your grade will be derived from homework (20%), midterm (20%),  paper presentation  (20%),  project presentation/demo (20%), and project reports (20%).
