Bio

Ben Hardekopf is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he leads the Programming Languages Research Laboratory.

Research

Professor Hardekopf's main research area is Programming Languages, investigating programming language design, analysis, and implementation. His main focus in this area is using program analysis and abstract interpretation to verify interesting properties of software, such as correctness and security. He also investigates applying programming language techniques to other areas of Computer Science, such as Computer Architecture and verifying properties of hardware designs.
